Those who work on an existing building are familiar with the situation:

No blueprint: the building was made decades ago, the plans disappeared, destroyed, or never even existed in digital form.

Inaccurate dimensions: in the old blueprint, a deviation of 5-10 cm is not uncommon, and on one wall this is enough so that the planned furniture or window sill does not fit.

The missing third dimension: the traditional floor plan does not tell you the ceiling height, the height of the cornice, the position of the beams.

This is how we work together

The process is simple and transparent, from requesting a quote to handing over files.

We work together in four steps:

1. Request for quotation, project coordination: by request for quotation, e-mail, online or telephone consultation. Let's clarify: what is the size of the space, what is the purpose of the survey.

2. On-site survey: apartment, family house: typically half a day. Office building, condominium (500-2000 m²): 1-2 days. The survey does not stop the use of the building: we work noiselessly, quickly.

For exterior facade, high roof or industrial building with a large floor area drone survey can also be deployed for full geometric coverage.

3. Data processing: typically 2-5 working days depending on the size of the area. Multi-stage quality control, point cloud processing optimized with proprietary algorithms.

4. Handover: point cloud and online viewer access. On request: BIM model, 2D design documentation.

Typical use cases

Pre-renovation survey

Transformation, renovation, change of functions of an existing building. 3D laser scanning provides an accurate capture of the existing state: this is the starting point on which the designs are built. The survey is done once, but you can use the data throughout the design and construction cycle.

Monumental documentation

In the case of monuments, it is of utmost importance to have a few millimeters of accuracy, staging monument documentation. The laser point cloud and 360 panoramic photos together provide geometric and visual documentation. The survey of Tihany Abbey is an example of this: 3 400 m² of monument level 3D model and design documentation.

As-built designs

Recording of the realized state: documentation of the real geometry after construction, which may differ from the plan. The as-built documentation the basis for operation and future transformations.

Software compatibility

We create optimized point cloud files that are compatible with all modern design software (ArchiCAD, Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD). It is possible to model on the point cloud, the surveyed building, area, equipment in geometry and dimensions, with guaranteed accurate dimensions.

On demand from the point cloud digital twin can also be created: with metadata linked to the geometry, operation and subsequent transformations can also be supported.

On-site work for properties under 800-1000 m² is typically within 1 business day. Processing takes 2-10 business days. An average apartment survey (100-200 m²) is completed in a total of 3 days, a larger building (10,000+ m²) 2-3 weeks.

What software can I import into?

ArchiCAD, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and any software that handles point clouds (.e57, .rcp, .xyz or.las formats). The appropriate format will be provided by appointment.
